This homeowner desired a refresh for her kitchen, adjacent living fireplace, while creating a new multipurpose scullery-laundry room AND an updated spare bathroom and J&J bath.
By adding German smear to the fireplace, USI was able to update this fireplace resulting in a more organic vibe for the new furnishings .
For the kitchen USI incorporated a light upper and dark lower cabinet color to create a brighter, lighter, larger feel. Adding a range with a functioning hood resulted in a not only a lovely focal point, but it also allowed USI to transform this kitchen to a more functionality for this very active cook!
USI also transformed the previous laundry room into a functional scullery-laundry room that serves as a second kitchen for prepping, storing, serving and dishwashing; a dedicated laundry niche with convenient adjustable drying racks; a dog zone with tucked away dog bowls/storage zone while maintaining a pretty environment for this multi-purpose room.
In addition to the LR, kitchen and scullery zone, USI also re-design the two bathrooms in this renovation.
The smaller guest bath was challenged with door congestion upon entering with the closet and shower door. By removing the closet door and creating an open nook, while refreshing the shower with updated tile, adding a niche and new plumbing, this space resulted in a better use of space that is also very pretty.
For the J&J renovation- by repainting the cabinets, reusing the counters, replacing the faucets, raising the light fixtures, replacing the floor, removing the tub, creating a shower only space with a slightly smaller, more open storage unit- USI was not only able to make this a better use of space, but created a more updated space with beautiful elements that created an earthy, more organic look.
See before photos at the end to appreciate the transformation.
